Dr. Christiansen directs safety monitoring, staff training, and daily quality rounds across the homes. He is on call 24/7 and on site most weekdays. Residents continue to use their own personal physicians for medical care; his role is to direct the quality of the care delivered around each resident, not replace that physician.
What families should expect
- A care assessment before move-in to confirm the community can safely meet the resident's needs
- Medication support and assistance with daily activities based on the resident's plan
- Daily observation by familiar team members who know the resident's usual routine
- Same-day family communication when a meaningful change is identified
- Coordination with the resident's personal physician and other providers when appropriate and authorized
Questions to ask any senior living community
Ask who is physically present overnight, how a change in condition is escalated, who leads clinical quality, how medication support is managed, and how families are notified. During a tour, notice whether staff know residents by name and whether the daily rhythm feels calm, attentive, and personal.
